Lokayukta summons senior cop accused of taking bribe

Panaji, Sep 21 (UNI) The Lokayukta here has summoned a senior police official of Goa Police who has been accused of demanding and accepting bribe for recording his statement.
According to a senior official in the Anti-Corruption Ombudsman's office, inspector general of police (IGP) Sunil Garg has been asked to remain present on October 21.
Munnalal Halwai, a Vasco-based businessman, has filed a complaint against the senior police official accusing him of demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs five lakh for ordering to register a First Information Report in a cheating case in Ponda.
