MP CM meets industry heads at Hyderabad, Bangalore

BHOPAl: Chief minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan was on a day’s visit to Hyderabad and Bangaluru to meet industrialists and invite them to the Global Investors’ Summit (GIS) to be held in Indore on October 22-23. In Hyderabad, Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is not just suitable but has a wide scope of investment. Addressing an investment seminar in Hyderabad on Wednesday, he said “Madhya Pradesh is no longer Bimaru and has become a leader in many sectors.
Growth rate is in double digit and agricultural growth is above 20%.”
He claimed that a total of one lakh km roads have been constructed and irrigation command area has been increased. Hard-selling brand Madhya Pradesh, the chief minister said the state has become power surplus, has better infrastructure facilities and law and order condition is under control. Chouhan said that skilled manpower is available and the dam with the largest reservoir Indira Sagar is situated in the state. Chouhan argued there is wide scope of possibilities in tourism sector and a tourism cabinet has been constituted for tapping vacation industry possibilities in the state.
Chouhan argued that agriculture alone cannot feed people. Hence, the state government is paying more attention towards industries to provide employment to youths. He said policies have been changed to facilitate investors and single window system has been adopted. Lok Seva Guarantee law has been made ensuring public service delivery within a stipulated period of time. If a government employee fails to do the job on time, there is provision for punishment has been made for delay.
Chief minister later held one-on-one discussions with possible investors assuring all possible help from the government to set-up industry in the state. Minister for industries and commerce Rajendra Shukla, chief secretary Antony De Sa also interacted with business houses and shared information about the state’s industrial policy.
A government release said that chief of Tata Advance System Masood Hussain has accepted the invitation to the GIS 2016. His team will be in Indore to participate in the convention. V. Shrinivas Reddy of Megha Engineering discussed possibilities of setting-up a manufacturing plant for water pipes and pumps. Chief minister also met managing director of Pharmamassical Company P.V. Appaji, Ravi Raju of Navyug construction, Dr. Haribabu Bodepudi of Maylan Laboratories Ltd and president of Hospital division at Apollo Hospital Enterprises Dr. K. Hariprasad.
