•Wilson Daniels is adding to its Italian portfolio, becoming the U.S. importer of Valpolicella producer Dal Forno Romano effective October 1. Located in Val D’Illasi, the Dal Forno Romano estate consists of 65 acres of vines planted to traditional indigenous varieties of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Oseleta and Croatina. Wilson Daniels will import Dal Forno Romano’s Valpolicella Superiore DOC, Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG and Vigna Seré wines.

•Clyde May’s whiskey is extending its lineup with a 92-proof Straight Bourbon and a 117-proof Cask Strength offering. The non-chill-filtered Straight Bourbon, which is debuting this month, retails at around $40, while the Cask Strength whiskey is positioned at $90 and will hit the market on October 1. Clyde May’s core label is an 85-proof, 5-year-old blended whiskey ($35) that contains flavors including apple essence. The portfolio also includes Special Reserve, a 6-year-old, 110-proof whiskey ($60).

•M.S. Walker is introducing three new limited-edition Rare Cask brandies from France’s Maison Monteru to the U.S. The new individually-numbered U.S. releases include 1,926 bottles of a Sauternes Cask finish (81.6 proof), 1,998 bottles of a Sherry Cask finish (83.4 proof) and 1,572 bottles of a Triple-Toast Cask finish (85.4 proof). The company is also planning the debut of a series of single varietal grape brandies. The Maison Monteru Rare Cask Brandy range retails at about $58.
