A 73-year-old Essex woman has been charged after a cyclist was struck by a car on Tuesday.
Essex County OPP say around 12:30 p.m. a cyclist was struck by a silver Dodge at the intersection of Talbot Road and Maidstone Avenue in Essex.
A 53-year-old Quebec woman was crossing the roadway on her bicycle when she was struck by the Dodge which then stuck a hydro pole at the intersection.
The cyclist was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Patricia Lenardon, 73, has been charged with careless driving.
