Brace yourself: TMZ reports that Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, citing "irreconcilable differences." According to TMZ, Angelina asked for physical custody of the Jolie-Pitt brood, with Brad to have joint legal custody and visitation. Brangelina got married in 2014, but prior to that had been a couple since 2004. They famously became involved after filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith together, while Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston.
TMZ also notes that Angelina's decision to divorce Brad is entirely due to "the way Brad was parenting the children," and does not have anything to do with infidelity. According to Us Weekly, Brangelina celebrated their two-year wedding anniversary last month with a stay at the Beverly Hills Hotel. "It was just the two of them," said Us's source. "They had dinner and spent the night, and that was it." In 2015, they starred together in the film By the Sea, which Angelina directed.
