She received a lot of flak for her statement but we cannot deny there is a big chunk of truth in that. Movies around sex end up making profits. No wonder Hate Story has 3 entries in the franchise. There have been numerous times when movies dealt with sexual awakening. Now, Bollywood is not quite popular for churning out movies like American Pie, where 'sexual awakening' could be comical and yet make certain sense. Bollywood does what Bollywood does. There have been so many times when sexual awakening, rather than looking beautiful on screen ended up making you laugh out loud. For a nation so desperate in need of sex education, these movies, scenes and songs are quite hilarious to exist. We are not talking about Jodhaa sneakily crushing at Akbar's hot bod in the Ashutosh Gowariker's film. Not even, more recently, kidnapped Athiya Shetty lusting over her kidnapper Sooraj Pancholi's well chiseled torso in Hero. We are looking at instances closer to the entire plot of Rani Mukerjee's Aiyya. In this dreadful movie, that was the debut vehicle of Fardeen Khan, Meghna Kothari gets on all fours and asks her hero to give her the 'haseen dard'. Ohkay! Slow down there. That is even worse than Monica Geller calling it giving away her flower. You know what? The hero refuses, as they are not married. We believe it was because she called it giving 'haseen dard'. Sexual awakening gone wrong!
