From Race Course Road to Lok Kalyan Marg: This is how Twitter targeted the change in Delhi

New Delhi, September 21:  The leaders of Delhi made a significantly unanimous decision today. In a press conference attended by NDMC Chairman Naresh Kumar, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Meenakshi Lekhi, the BJP MP who represents New Delhi constituency in Parliament, it was announced that the famous Race Course Road in which the Prime Minister resides, would be renamed as Lok Kalyan Marg.

The entire decision happened as BJP’s Meenakshi Lekhi decided that the name ‘Race Course Road’ isn’t synonymous with Indian culture. So on Tuesday she proposed the road’s name be changed to Ekatma Marg. However, the initial name was opposed by Aam Aadmi Party leaders who thought that the  road should be named after a martyr. While most of us are happy that the country’s political leaders found one insignificant cause to stop sparring about, the Twitterati were certainly unimpressed. They took to twitter to express their displeasure at time being wasted on such a lame decision. Have a look below and see how the Indian Twitterati have mastered snarkiness perfectly.
