Deputy Minister of Energy officiates at the commercial operation of Tsitsikamma Community Wind Farm

Tomorrow, Thursday 15 September 2016, Cennergi commemorates the coming online of its two Eastern Cape Wind Farms which will provide electricity into the national electricity grid. This has been a long journey, which started with the vision that the late Mr Mike Msizi had for the AmaMfengu to have a wind farm on the land that they had been forcefully removed from in the 1970s.

Cennergi has played a key role in bringing Msizi's vision to life and the Tsitsikamma communities are shareholders in the wind farm Come and join us to commemorate this historic event for the Tsitsikamma community. The Deputy Minister of Energy, Ambassador Thembisile Majola will deliver the keynote address, and will be joined by the CEOs of Exxaro, Tata Power (from India) and Cennergi The four high level speakers,as well as the members of the local municipalities and community where the wind farms are located, will be available for interviews.
