Blast in boiler claims three lives

KANPUR: Three people were killed in a blast which occurred in a boiler at a biscuit manufacturing unit near Dahi Chowki in Unnao district on Monday night.
They were the employees of the biscuit factory where biscuits are manufactured for dogs.
The three were identified as Vinod Singh, Sanjay and Sunil. Sanjay was a resident of Kanpur and Sunil hailed from Fatehpur. The family members of the three accused the factory owners of negligence.
An FIR was lodged against the factory owner, manager and the supervisor on the complaint of the three.
Acting incharge Unnao Kotwali Ashok Kumar Gupta the three were working when the incident occurred.
Man, nephew die in accident: A man and his nephew died in a road accident at Sachendi highway in the city on Tuesday. They have been identified as Billu and his nephew Shahrukh, residents of Baikunthpur Bithoor. The two were going to Baikunthpur in Bithoor on a motorcycle when the accident occurred. When they reached Chakarpur Mandi, a truck hit the motorcycle, leaving the two critically injured. They were rushed to a nursing home, where the two died.
A case was registered against the truck driver under Sections 304/279 of IPC. The truck was impounded. The driver managed to escape.
