Gangotri MLA Vijay Pal Sajwan laid foundation stones for projects of Rs 10.14 crore during a function at Jala village in Bhatwadi development block in Uttarkashi district today. He initiated the construction work on the 2-km Jaspur-Parali road at an estimated cost of Rs 1.68 crore. He laid the foundation stone for a cold storage at Jala village that would be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 8.10 crore.
Sajwan also laid the foundation stone for the construction of a gravity-based material handling ropeway (trolley) from Lingsinga to Pachihari village. He said the long standing demand of a road and a ropeway would be fulfilled soon. The MLA heard the grievances of people at a multi-purpose camp.
