Nancy Ashmawy, the OAP heroine of 50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy, has said "never say never" to another series of the adventure reality show 50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy.

The hit show is back for its third series on Sky1 this Monday under the extended title of 50 Ways to Kill Your Mammies and includes a whole new set of daredevil pensioners joining Nancy and her son Baz in the pursuit of extreme sport thrills and spills.

Speaking at the new season launch in Dublin on Tuesday night, 71-year-old Nancy was greeted with cheers from the audience when she said she's game for another go at the show despite the fact that Baz has said it will end after this series.

50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy won an International Emmy for Best Non-Scripted Entertainment Show last year but speaking to the Sunday Business Post at the time, 40-year-old Baz said: "I would hate to ever exhaust it to the point where you ruin the goodness of it. Can it be that? Can it be better? Can we make more of it?"

Asked about the thinking behind series three at Tuesday night's launch, he said: "We wanted to add a bit of flavour. The first and second seasons were about the mother and son relationship, with this series we wanted to find other pensioners who were up for it.

"We wanted mammies who didn't want to be on telly but who wanted adventure. They had it coming! They were a real inspiration."

His mammy said she was happy to be joined by some new friends for the new run. "At least in the evenings there was someone to have a drink with out of my own age group. I made great friends along the way." To which her loving son rejoined, "Pissheads, I'd say."

Baz also admitted that he wasn't sure what was next for the series. "Honestly I have no idea. We spent a lot of time, over six months, travelling and we only wrapped about a month ago. I haven't thought anything past doing this.

"This felt very epic and very big and it was a big adventure and we were on the road for a long time and we're just getting back to normal life now. It's not something we're really thinking about.  But I'm dying or people to watch it and enjoy it.

"I hope it encourages other mammies - it's been a wonderful show. Just to encourage other people."
