Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor
KUALA LUMPUR: Neither Permata, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor nor the Malaysian government had ever applied for the special tribute award from Unesco, according to the Prime Minister's press secretary Datuk Seri Tengku Sariffuddin Tengku Ahmad.
He said it was Unesco director-general Irina Bokova who had sent letters to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, his wife Rosmah as well as Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman on Sept 8 informing that Rosmah was to be given the special tribute award at an event on Sept 22.
