South Korea carmakers Hyundai and Kia have chosen the Stoll Quartermaster also known as Universal Wear Tester (UWT) from SDL Atlas for performing automotive interiors tests. The MS 200-20 standard is done to perform the abrasion test to check the durability of interior fabrics to daily wear, while the MS 200-11 standard is used for the soiling test.

In the MS 200-11 standard test, a pre-soiled fabric is rubbed against the sample and the sample checked for staining afterwards.

According to SDL Atlas, both standards utilise the inflated diaphragm attachment which comes standard with the SDL Atlas UWT and the different test materials required by the standards are also available from SDL Atlas. (AR)
