Gang of 4 involved in nine vehicle thefts busted

GURGAON: Crime unit, Sohna arrested four people for allegedly stealing vehicles on Sunday. Police have recovered four cars, two motorcycles and an illegal country made pistol from their possession.
The accused are identified as Sitaram, Jony, Vijay and Sanjeev, residents of Kadipur and Gandhi Nagar area.
After receiving a tip off, the police caught the accused near Bhondsi area along with a stolen car.Further questioning revealed that the group were involves in stealing of other vehicles along with petty thefts. Four cars including Indica, Alto, Santro and Maruti 800, two motorcycles were recovered from their possession lifted from sector 29 and sector 40 areas.
“The accused are involved in nine cases of theft in city. We are questioning them and hope some other cases will be solved during questioning”, said Subhash Bokan, police spokesperson.
