JAIPUR: Chief minister Vasundhara Raje on Monday claimed that her government had already provided jobs to 9.5 lakh youngsters as against its promise of 15 lakh jobs in 5 years.
Addressing a public rally on the second day of her visit to Dausa under the 'Aapka Zila, Aapki Sarkar' programme, Raje said that her government had provided these jobs in the government and private sectors.
Lashing out at Congress, she claimed that while the BJP's ideology was 'sabka saath, sabka vikas', the Congress believed in 'apna haath, apna vikas'.
Listing out the various schemes and policies of the state government, she said that BPL cards would now work as a security cover for the beneficiaries. "Health-related information about the members would now be included in their BPL cards. This would include their blood group, and diabetes or heart-related diseases they might be suffering from. In case of an accident or an emergency, the doctors will only have to look at a person's BPL card before beginning the treatment," she said.
Speaking about the state's work in the district, she said that Dausa had been gifted schemes and developmental works worth Rs 1,770 crore in the past two-and-a-half years. "Foundation stones for various projects over worth Rs 100 crore were laid today. This includes several drinking water and road development projects," she said.
Earlier in the day, Raje paid a sudden visit to several places in the district, during which she suspended a doctor at a primary health centre (PHC) for being absent during working hours. She also voiced her displeasure over the unclean rooms at the PHC. Besides, she reprimanded the officials after the food at an anganwadi was found low on nutrition. In addition, she raised concerns over illegal mining in Muhi village.
The chief minister also checked the conservation efforts underway at Abhaneri stepwell.
