PNB launches Tab Banking

JAMMU, Sept 19: Punjab National Bank (PNB), Jammu launched Tab Banking facility in J&K for opening accounts for its valued customers. General Manager, PNB, G S Gandhoke, launched Tab Banking in presence of B S Raina, Circle Head, PNB, Jammu Circle and Pawan Kohli, Deputy Circle Head, PNB Jammu Circle.
Speaking on the occasion, Gandhoke said Tab Banking will provide convenience and time saving to those customers who are opening accounts with PNB as they will get this facility at their door step. He added that Tab Banking officer will come to a place of your convenience, click your photograph and scan the necessary documents required to open a Bank account with the help of a tablet.
Later in the day, PNB organized a customer Meet for MSME entrepreneurs in collaboration with Association of Industries (AoI), Gangyal at Industrial Area Gangyal here today.
The said function was presided over by G S Gandhoke, General Manager, PNB Shimla who was accompanied by B S Raina, Circle Head, PNB, Jammu Circle, Rajesh Jain, President and S B Abrol, general secretary, Association of Industries, Gangyal.
Speaking on the occasion, Gandhoke informed about latest initiatives of the Government and the bank like MUDRA, Stand Up India schemes. He informed that for meeting the Credit needs of MSME sector, PNB has identified Credit initiative branches with the objective of minimizing turnaround time and also to ensure 30% YoY growth of MSME. For that bank has designated BO Gangyal, Bari Brahmana  and Samba for this very purpose.
While speaking at the occasion, B S Raina said that PNB has focused approach for financing MSME looking into the prolific scope of employment provided by the sector and its contribution in GDP. He further gave details of availability of hassle free loan to the budding entrepreneurs along with relaxation and subsidies available to this sector through CGTMSE, CLSS etc.
Rajesh Jain said such functions create a base for two way communication amongst the stakeholders and linking them to formal banking sector was necessary for overall development of the economy.
