Two killed in explosion at private firm in Kurkumbh MIDC

TWO WORKERS were killed in an explosion at a reactor of Eternis Fine Chemical Limited Company at Maharashtra Indian Development Corporation (MIDC), Kurkumbh, in Daund taluka, in the early hours of Monday.

Police have identified the deceased as Prajanandan Das (50) and Bhimkumar Sahu (20), residents of Bihar. Police said that two other workers who were injured in the explosion were identified as Vikram Dattatraya Wavhal (25), resident of Daund and Vipul Vasant Karanje, resident of Roha in Raigad. Pune rural police said that the company manufactures products required for making perfumes. Police have initiated probe to confirm the cause behind the explosion.
