CM for timely completion of projects in Doda region

SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today reviewed key development projects taken up in the Doda region, comprising Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban districts.

Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today reviewed key development projects taken up in the Doda region, comprising Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban districts.

An official statement said Mehbooba laid emphasis on timely completion of projects under various sectors, including road communication, power, roads and buildings, public health engineering, agriculture and health among others.

“The Doda region area has very peculiar problems which need to be addressed in a focused manner to bridge the existing infrastructural gaps, keeping in mind the topography and the difficult terrain,” she said.

Mufti asked the administrative secretary concerned to expedite the transmission and distribution works under various schemes and programmes.

She was informed by the officials concerned that the transmission work was in progress for the augmentation of Khellani Grid from 40 to 70 MVA at an estimated cost of Rs 6.42 crore and it would be commissioned by October this year and that the survey for reconductoring of Udhampur- Kishtwar 132 KV line [60 MW, 40 km] was going on which shall take around three months and would enhance the capacity from 60 to 100 MW.
