Delhi Court asks DCP South East to take action against a police official attending the court under influence of liquor

New Delhi, Sep 19 (UNI) A Delhi Court today directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East) to take action against a police official for attending the court as prosecution witness under the influence of liquor and furnish the action taken report.
Head Constable Ramesh Kumar today appeared before the court as prosecution witness. When Kumar entered the witness box, Additional Public Prosecutor Virender Singh submitted to the court that the witness seemed to be under influence of liquor.
The matter pertains to a case registered under section 33 of Excise Act against Karuna Shankar Shukla in Govind Puri police station in 2013.
