CHENNAI: Chettinad Group on Monday launched Sigapi Illam, a
senior living community, in Karaikudi through its corporate social responsibility arm
Chettinad Paroupakaaram Foundation.
Located between Puliyarpati and Karaikudi, the community has been developed over 7.2 acres of land with six individual blocks. It has been designed by incorporating Chettinad style of architecture and classical old-world European architecture.
The senior living community has in-house hospitals, a yoga centre, a school and other amenities.
With lotus ponds and other scenic landscaping, the facility also has dedicated walkways and pathways for wheeling wheelchairs.
The group also aims at community development services, health care and elder care services in Karaikudi and neighbouring regions.
