ANGELO IS THE NAME OF A YOUNG PITTBULL TO WHOM SOMEONE CUT THE EARS WITH SCISSORS: THE DOG WAS RESCUED BY OIPA ECO-ZOOPHILOUS GUARDS AND NOW HE NEEDS YOUR HELP

In September 6^th in Trapani campaigns, Angelo, the pitbull dog breed recovered by OIPA volunteers Animal Guards, was urgently taken to a veterinary clinic.

The OIPA Guards, alerted by the local police, rushed on the site indicated and attended a terrifying scene: the dog was bleeding from the ears so profusely that neither the gauze or the shirt, applied to stanch the bleeding, have been sufficient to stop it.

The young pitbull was founded with a tight rope around his neck and no microchip. The vet report has showed that the dog’s ears have been cut with common scissors, without anesthesia and without receiving any stitches. Angelo is still in the veterinary clinic where he received first aid, because he has developed an infection of the injured area. Once cured, he will be transferred to a kennel waiting to find a family.

The volunteers of OIPA Trapani Guards ask for help to bear the cost of veterinary expenses, of the stay and the board, so as to assist in the best way the young tortured dog.

This cruel practice, despite it has been prohibited by law, is unfortunately still in use among the criminals, who exploit these breeds of dogs in clandestine fights.
