Container of India : EXIM Business Operation of MMLP Pantnagar (Uttarakhand) Inaugurated on 17th Sept. 2016

SIDCUL CONCOR Infra Company Ltd. (SCICL) is a joint Venture Company (JVC) between State Infrastructure and Industrial Development Corporation of Uttarakhand Ltd. (SIIDCUL- A Govt. of Uttarakhand Enterprise) and Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR- a PSU under Ministry of Railways).

The main objective is to develop Multi Modal Logistics Parks (MMLPs) in the state of Uttarakhand and also to develop state of the art rail linked Logistics Park to handle containerised EXIM & Domestic and also conventional railway freight traffic at Pantnagar.

It has an approx. area of 38 acres of land leased by SIIDCUL to SCICL in the Industrial Estate- Pantnagar for a period of 30 years. It is situated on single line non- electrified Rampur- Kathgodam section of Izzatnagar Division, NE Railways. It is around 8 kms. from Rudrapur City Railway Station and 6 Kms from Haldi Road station on the other. It is under the Jurisdiction of Commissioner Customs Hapur.

MMLP-Pantnagar has one warehouse of approx. 3500 sq. mt for EXIM which has partition for Export, Import and seized Cargo as per Customs requirement and two warehouses of approx.. 1250 sq. mt each for Domestic business. It also has Custom Bonded Area of approx. 30000 sq. mt. along with separate entry and exit gates. At Pantnagar we have trailer parking area of approx. 13000 sq. mt. for parking of trailers/trucks. It also has one Pitless Road Weigh Bridge of 60 Ton with the custom bonded area and one In-Motion weigh bridge.

The domestic business started from 28 Nov. 2015. The MMLP- Pantnagar is recently notified U/s 8 & 45 of Customs Act. The EXIM business started w.e.f. 17 Sep. 2016. The EXIM business operation was inaugurated by CMD- CONCOR, and Vice Chairman - SCICL Shri Anil Gupta, & Chief Commissioner Customs & Central Excise Meerut, Sh. Devendra Mishra in the presence of Divisional Railway Manager, Izzatnagar Division, NE Railway. The function was attended by major trade & industry of Pantnagar, important shipping lines, CHA's & freight forwarders besides members of Kumayun- Garhwal, Chamber of Commerce & Industry & SIIDCUL entrepreneurs association. The function was graced by the presence of Director International Marketing & Operations, CONCOR Sh. Sanjay Swaroop, Executive Director, North Central Region Sh. Ajay Anand, Finance Controller SIIDCUL Sh. Shailendra Shankar Singh, Group General Manager, CONCOR, Sh. Santosh Kumar Jha, Group General Manager, Customs-CONCOR, Mrs. Mallika Arya besides several officers from Customs, CONCOR, SIIDCUL & NE Railways. With the commissioning of EXIM business the trade & industry of Pantnagar will be immensely benefitted.
