Seminar on EU opportunities held at IIIT-Raipur

RAIPUR: To keep students of available opportunities, Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Naya Raipur has organised a seminar on 'European Fellowships with opportunities for funding'. Organised in collaboration with European Union organization EURAXESS, the seminar was attended by students, faculty and scholars from all over the state.
Speaking on the occasion, state finance secretary Amit Agarwal said that the education system has undergone a revolutionary change over recent times.

He emphasized on learning at least one foreign language. IIIT, Naya Raipur vice-chancellor and director Dr Pradeep Kumar Sinha, stressed on having international collaborations to promote research activities along with faculty and student exchange programmes. He also highlighted the plan for establishing a centre for globalization at IIIT to facilitate collaborative activities. Dr Sandrine Maximilien, scientific attachee to the Embassy of France, briefed about the funding and opportunities for research collaborations and higher learning in France.
Ms Ainhitze B Bravo from EURAXESS-India threw light on various opportunities available in EU countries through EURAXESS. Dr SG Prakash Vincent from Association de International Cooperation (AIC) provided information about 100+ Scholarships/Research funding programs of EU Nations. Professor OP gave detailed presentation on European research collaborations and said the details have been made available on IIIT-Naya Raipur website. tnn
