Actor
Chemban Vinod has been very vocal about the role director
Lijo Jose Pellissery played in his life, from introducing him to the world of cinema to launching his film career. Now, the actor will be turning scriptwriter for Lijo’s next, titled '
Angamaly Diaries'.
“The movie revolves around people I have seen and lived with in Angamaly. The incidents in their lives will be woven into the plot and the story will feature all the arguments and humour that are part of real life,” says Chemban Vinod.
“It will not adhere to a particular genre. It’s a story set in a municipality that is neither too rural nor urban.”
Lijo adds that every member of the cast will be a fresh face. “We opted for debutants who suit the characters in our film. We really want to capture the essence of the people of Angamaly — their slang, body language and culture,” says the filmmaker.
The movie will be shot at Angamaly and will go on floors from October second week.
