Pilibhit: Police have registered a case against a man from Jamunia Khas village for allegedly confining a 11-year-old boy to his house and beating him up. Meanwhile, the boy’s mother allegedly lodged a police complaint claiming that he was sexually assaulted. However, investigation revealed that the woman had lodged a false plaint over previous enmity.

According to the SHO of Deurial Kotwali police station, Sikandar Singh Yadav, the woman, Premwati Devi of village Jamunia Khas, had filed a complaint on Friday evening stating that her son had gone to take part in a programme where Pravesh Chandra sent him to buy a matchbox from a nearby shop. As soon as the boy left the venue, Pravesh chased the boy and dragged him inside his home where he allegedly assaulted him sexually. He added that Premwati claimed to have reached the house based on information given by a villager and found that the man had fled the spot.
The SHO said that the boy was sent to the government hospital at Deuria for medical examination where no signs of sexual assault were found by the doctor. Later, the woman confessed that she had levelled false allegations against Pravesh due to previous enmity. He added that Pravesh had confined the boy to his house and had also been beaten up.
Hence, police lodged an FIR against Pravesh on Saturday under sections 323, 504, 506 and 342 of IPC.
