Younger brother, three others held for killing man

Belagavi: Katkol police have arrested four persons i n connection with the murder of Panchappa Basappa Patil of Mugalihal village. The accused include Basavaraj Basappa Patil, the younger brother of the deceased.
Basavaraj Basappa Patil, the main accused had given supari to kill his elder brother Panchappa for Rs 40,000 to the other three accused -- Sunil Ramappa Madar of Rankalakoppa, H anumanth Yankappa Katagol and Subhash Dharmanna Pujer of Mugalihal village of Ramdurg taluk.The trio executed the murder on August 27. In this connection accused Basavaraj himself had registered a murder case at Katkol police station.
Katkol PSI Ravikumar Dharmatti said that when the case was registered, cops suspected the involvement of Basavaraj. They traced the call records and collected other evidence against Basavaraj who confessed to his involvement in the murder that took place on August 27. Basavaraj said that he decided to get his brother Panchappa killed as he had turned an alcoholic and picked up quarrels often.
