KATRA, Sept 16: Foiling an attempt of liquor smuggling to the holy town, Police today arrested a bootlegger and seized 38 poly pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
Acting on specific information, Police team headed by I/C PCP Panthal, intercepted accused Inder Singh of Sarmoli, Tehsil Chenani, who was on way towards Katra. During his checking, the police team succeeded in recovery of 38 poly pouches measuring 250/250 ml each of J&K Excise liquor.
Police arrested the accused person and seized the recovered poly pouches of liquor besides registering a case under 48-A Excise Act at Katra Police Station.
