According to official sources the Mayangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School has provided its dedicated and determined service to the people of the people of the state in the field of education and many of the Ministers and bureaucrats are the alumni of the school. Proudly considered as one of the prominent schools in the state, the Platinum Jubilee of the school was celebrated today, the 16th September, in its school auditorium with Minister for School Education & SCERT Yitachu as the chief guest where hundreds dignitaries, invitees, former headmasters, teachers and staff and alumni of the school attended. Yitachu in his address called upon teaching community to shift their focus towards imparting quality education to the students to enable them to stand by their own feet. He said even though literacy rate of the state stands higher than the national level yet students are not well equipped. He opined that students who are well educated would no longer knock the doors of the Government offices for job, but find themselves innovative ways to generate themselves employment and it would ultimately lead to progress economy of the state. Yitachu also shared State Government’s stand on reservation for women in Municipal and Town Councils and getting maximum benefit under Article 371 (A) in a positive way.
