The last two winners of the Weatherbys Champion Bumper at Cheltenham could potentially lock horns over hurdles at Perth next week.

David Pipe's Moon Racer claimed his third win from as many starts in the 2015 Champion Bumper and having missed most of last season through injury, he returned from over a year off the track in the Champion INH Flat Race at the Punchestown Festival in April and was only narrowly denied by the front-running Blow By Blow.

The Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained Ballyandy claimed his fourth bumper win at the Cheltenham Festival in March before being beaten into fourth on his final start of the campaign at Aintree.

Both horses feature among 24 entries for the Racing Post Readers Award Novices' Hurdle on Thursday, with Keith Dalgleish's dual course and distance winner Mirsaale also in contention.
