Ae Dil Hai Mushkil song Bulleya plagiarism controversy: Pritam copied ADHM Sufi song from Papa Roach & Iron Maiden!

The most awaited movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan is getting us hooked to the KJo multi starrer with every passing day. After creating buzz with the beautifully crafted official teaser of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, the makers of the movie also unveiled the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil title song soon after the teaser, to keep the excitement going on. Now after the melodious title song sung by singer Arijit Singh, the makers today released the next song from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The Sufi song Bulleya from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was unveiled today and the wait was worth it!

The song Bulleya from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is a beautiful song sung by Amit Mishra and Shilpa Rao. One thing that got us hooked to the song was the crackling chemistry between the lead pair Ranbir and Ash. Though this is the first time ever the two have been paired opposite each other, their chemistry is fascinating! Though we have only good things to say about Ae Dil Hai Mushkil song Bulleya , there is one thing that we could not ignore. The resemblance of the song to a couple of handpicked Bollywood songs from other movies. Another thing that would go unnoticed is the strikingly peculiar guitar riff in the opening of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil song Bulleya. If the opening of this song gave you a Deja vu kind of feeling, and you have been wondering if Pritam has yet again lifted the music from some other existing soundtrack, you are not wrong! The scorching guitar riff has been lifted from the Papa Roach song Last Resort.

This time Pritam has not tried to muddle with the music, and has lifted the whole electric guitar riff portion as it is and conveniently tried to gel it with the rest of the song, making it look like his own! Yes, Pritam has managed to yet again do what he does best! Lifting and copying existing music comes easy to the Bollywood music composer. But we are sure when Karan Johar expressed his wish to work with Pritam for the first time ever, he was not asking for this! Last Resort is Papa Roach’s first single from their album Infest. The song became immensely popular and topped the Modern Rock track Chart and the Billboard as well. Interestingly the guitar riff that appears throughout the song that has also been used in Bulleya is actually a replayed sample Genghis Khan by Iron Maiden! (ALSO READ: Ae Dil Hai Mushkil title song: You won’t believe Pritam copied Om Shanti Om, Thank You & Murder 2 to compose Ranbir Kapoor’s song!)

Also the Sufi song from Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan starrer Ae Dil Hai Mushkil seem to have taken some inspiration from the popular Pakistani band Junoon. The song rock Pakistani folk song Sayonee has inspired the music composer to incorporate something similar in the ADHM song Bulleya.  (ALSO READ: Ae Dil Hai Mushkil second song Bulleya: Ranbir Kapoor & Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s sizzling chemistry in this energetic track will blow your mind)

So far many of the works by Pritam has come under the plagiarism radar. His songs such as Bhar Do Jholi from bajrangi Bhaijaan, Pehli Nazar from Race, Kya Mujhe Pyar Hai from Woh Lamhe, Shikdum from Dhoom and many more songs have been lifted from various other existing work by the composer. We are waiting for Karan Johar’s reaction after this case of plagiarism has come to notice ahead of the big release of the multi starrer movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
