CRAZED killer Andy Albury, known as “Australia Hannibal Lecter” has described NT News readers as “inbreeds”.
Albury, 54, who is serving life without parole for the brutal 1983 murder of Gloria Pindan, is considered among the NT’s most troublesome prisoners.
In a review hearing in the NT Supreme Court yesterday, Albury’s lawyer Susan Cox QC warned him not to play up to journalists present in court.
“NT News is a gutter rag anyway, only inbreeds read that,” he said.

READ NOWEarly this month, Albury gave evidence to a Queensland coronial inquiry into the disappearance of 20-year-old traveller Tony Jones in 1982.
Albury has repeatedly confessed to killing Jones although investigations into some of his claims have concluded they lack credibility.
In July Albury demanded authorities move him back to Alice Springs prison, in part so his brother could visit him.
Supreme Court Justice Stephen Southwood adjourned the review hearing until November 23, so a “report card” could be prepared on Albury’s progress in that time.
