My husband is in bigamy trouble: wife to cops

A Brooklyn wife ratted out her church deacon hubby to cops, after learning he said “I do,” one time too many, authorities said.

Arturo Reid, 65, was arrested on bigamy charges Wednesday after his wife of 12 years discovered that he was married to another woman in Allentown, Pennsylvania, according to the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office.

Reid’s Brooklyn wife, Annette, 70, contacted authorities in June to report that her husband had wedded another woman.

Investigators found a receipt dated February 2015 from the Lehigh County Marriage License Bureau that listed Reid as the “payor” on a marriage application, officials said.

Detectives determined that Reid had married an unidentified woman on March 13, 2015 in a ceremony performed by a judge.

Reid and Annette share an apartment in Flatbush together and they regularly attend services at the First Baptist Church of Crown Heights where Reid is a deacon, according to neighbors.

Reid had previously tied the knot with Annette in New York City and never divorced her.

“She is so nice. I feel so bad. She is always going to church and cooking and baking cakes for her church,” the super of the Flatbush home said of Annette.

Photos on Reid’s Facebook page shows him cozied up to another woman who is not Annette.

On photo captions of the woman, Reid calls her “my wife,” “my love,” and “the most beautiful woman in the world.”

Reid was arraigned Wednesday released on his own recognizance. His bail was set at $2,500.
