OMG! Prithiviraj Sukumaran to direct Mohanlal in his debut film, Lucifer!

Prithviraj is set to make his directorial debut with Lucifer, and none other than Mohanlal will star in it.

Okay, this is BIG news! Two talented artists are coming together for a movie with an intriguing title. It can't better than this and we aren't even exaggerating. It was today when Prithviraj took to social media to make this grand announcement. It was grand for two reasons, one that the star was making his directorial debut and the other, he was going to direct none other than Mohanlal! Whatta directorial debut this is turning out to be. This ambitious project will be bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor’s Aashirvad Cinemas. Filmmaker Murali Gopy will be the one writing the screenplay for this movie. It was in an earlier interview with IANS, that Prithviraj had revealed,"I soon plan to venture into direction. It gives me a different kind of creative high," According to reports from a leading daily, the movie was a brainchild that had been conceptualised years go by Murali and late director Rajesh Pillai. Looks like Prithviraj is finally making it happen. Apart from Mohanlal and Murali, nothing about the cast and crew had been finalised. It was only recently, Prithviraj and Mohanlal clashed at the box office with Oozham and Oppam. Prithviraj's movie is a thriller drama about revenge directed by Jeetu Joseph of Drishyam fame. The movie opened to mixed reviews while Mohanlal's Oppam has opened to great reviews! It's about a visually challenged who somehow gets embroiled in a murder and then senses the murderer lurking around, even though he is blind. Looks like Mohanlal is on a roll. He already had five films lined up for 2016 and now this! As for Prithviraj, Fans are going be pleasantly surprised. Seems like it's the season for foraying in new fields because very recently Dhanush announced of his directorial debut with Power Pandi as well. It features Rajkiran and Prasanna among others. He also shared the first look of his directorial debut which intrigued fans across social media. Two talented actors are now going to work behind the camera and we are very excited!
