AKARTA: Singer/songwriter Raisa Andriana has been nominated for six Anugerah Musik Indonesia (AMI) awards.
She is a nominee for Best Pop Solo Artist, while her duet with Afgan, “Percayalah” (Believe Me), has been nominated for Best Collaboration and Best Collaborative Production. Her song “Kali Kedua” (Second Chance) is nominated for Best Production and her album Handmade is nominated in two categories: Best Pop Album and Best of Best Album.
“Thank God for the nominations. After being absent from the awards for a couple of years, I’m back with work near and dear to my heart. I am very proud of my new album as it reflects the real me,” she said as quoted by tribunnews.com on Tuesday. Raisa was named Best Newcomer at the 2012 AMI Awards. Her self-titled debut album Raisa (2011), Heart to Heart (2013) and Handmade (2016) are best-selling albums.
Collaborative songwriter Dewi Lestari has also been nominated for Best Songwriter for Raisa’s “Kali Kedua”, while the producers of the song, Rayendra Sunito and Marco Steffiano, are the nominated for Best Producer or Pop Music Arranger. — JP
