Awadh: Few Awadh Muslims chose to cut a cake with goat design on it instead of a goat with flesh, blood and bones.
Muslim Rashtriya Manch’s Awadh unit, which is an RSS backed organisation refused to sacrifice cattle for today’s Bakr-Eid.
The 5 kg cake was cut at Manch’s Awadh office.
Moreover, the Muslim workers have promised to not cook biryani, instead at home either and opted of enjoying Eid by offering sewaiyan and dahi vada to their loved ones.
“We can sacrifice our children too for Allah but it is not right to kill a goat without any reason and eat its meat” they said.
Awadh Prant convener Raees Khan said that the gesture was a message to society “Bakr-Eid can be celebrated also by cutting a cake just like people celebrate birth anniversaries,”.
Co-convener Hasan Kausar said, “The Bakr-Eid festival spreads a message of humanity.”
