Background score delays Nataraja Service release

The composer says that scoring BGM for a comedy is a challenge
Background score delays Nataraja Service release
Director Pavan Wadeyar's next, Nataraja Service, which has Sharan in the lead, was set to be released in the coming weeks. But the latest news is that the filmmaker has pushed the date to accommodate changes to its background score. 'Nataraja Service is a comedy, but the story and our treatment of the subject is new for Sharan and requires unique, experimental background music (BGM) that composer Anoop (Seelin) and I have been working on and finished over the weekend,' says Pavan.

The BGM took Anoop nearly a month to finish, which, though not the longest he needed for a film, was quite a challenge for him. 'There are a set of standard funny sounds that are used for effect in comedies, which was the first element that we stayed clear off. Our theme was a Bond movie presented as a comedy and we worked on that to give the film the right feel. But, given that Nataraja Service also has a romantic track, the BGM had to be a seamless blend of fun and romantic melody elements. That was quite a challenge,' says Anoop.
