Rinku Rajguru, who gained nationwide fame for her portrayal of Archi in Marathi blockbuster
Sairat, will be appearing in the Class X (SSC) examination as an external candidate.
A student of Jijamata Kanya Prashala, a girls school at Akluj in Solapur district, Rinku recently filled up the form for the SSC exam as an external candidate.
She has been away from Akluj since
Sairat released in April to a rousing reception,
taking part in promotional and celebratory events and appearing on TV shows.
Sairat became the
highest grossing film in the history of Marathi cinema by collecting over Rs 100 crores. Rinku, who has become a household name in Maharashtra after the grand success of the film, had failed to make it to school on the first day of the new academic year.
She secured 81 per cent marks in her Class IX exam. A day after she received the Special Mention Jury Award at the 63rd National Film Awards, Rinku had appeared for the exam earlier this year.
