Aurangabad Municipal Corporation launches teachers' training programme

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) in association with the Civic Response Team (CRT) initiated a teachers training programme for civic schools on Saturday.

Aurangabad: The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) in association with the Civic Response Team (CRT) initiated a teachers training programme for civic schools on Saturday.
AMC education officer, Ravindra Nikam said, "The scheme 'Smart Shikshak, Pragat Shikshan' is focused to help teachers develop reading fluency among school students. To help train teachers better, the training programme is jointly organised with CRT."
Nikam said, "The civic chief Om Prakash Bakoria had insisted that CRT conduct a survey on municipal school infrastructure to understand the ground reality of these schools.
With the support from corporate sector, CRT launched a wide infrastructure survey across various municipal schools. The results indicated that the schools need to organise a new pedagogy of trainings for teachers."
CRT education head, Rukmani Kapoor said, "The programme has currently been introduced at K P S Indiranagar School on a pilot basis. It will be continued in other schools next academic year."
The inauguration program was attended by Ravindra Nikam, ward corporator Smita Ghogre, school's principal Sanjeev Sonar and teachers from the school.
