Heavy rain creates havoc in Guntur, Prakasham districts

Guntur, Sep 13 (UNI) Heavy rains, under the influence of low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, caused havoc in Guntur and Prakasham districts as a woman was killed in a wall collapse incident.
Besides this, half-a-km railway track washed away, several residential colonies inundated and road connectivity to several villages disrupted in the two districts today.
A woman was killed when wall of her house caved in due to heavy rain at Karalapadu villager in Dachepalli mandal in Guntur district. Half-a-kilometer railway track on Gurajala-Macharla-Repalle section washed away in the floods of Dandi stream. All trains in the section were cancelled.
