Amid Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' big plans of installing a CCTV network and a CCTNS (Crime Criminal Tracking Network and Systems) in Mumbai, a theft has taken place in the Mantralaya on Monday, on the same floor where CM's cabin is located.

Vidya Shinge, a clerk, has filed a complaint of theft with Marine Drive Police Station in which she has told that she forgot her purse in the toilet on the sixth floor of the Mantralaya. After few minutes she realised and came back to fetch her purse however, the purse was not there. She has filed a complaint of theft under section 379, informed senior Police Inspector, Popat Yadav.

Sources say, soon after the incident there was an effort to convince media persons that it can happen anywhere and since one can not install CCTVs in toilet blocks, such instances can easily happen there. Interestingly, CCTV of the footage is also not available, informed Yadav.
