Don't act like BJP agents, Congmen told
GANDHINAGAR: Senior leaders of Gujarat Congress, led by the party's All-India general secretary, Gurudas Kamat, met leader of opposition (LOP) in assembly, Shankersinh Vaghela, at his Gandhinagar residence on Monday.
Though the party called it a routine monthly review meeting, Kamat's presence, and the recent airing of grievances by three senior state Congress leaders against Congress's state in-charge, Bharatsinh Solanki, made the meeting significant.

Sources said, "Kamat told state leaders that their internal squabbling was helping BJP's cause. He said that there were allegations that some Congress leaders in the state were, in fact, out to help the BJP, and were the saffron organization's agent inside Congress."
Congress president, Bharatsinh Solanki, and senior leaders Shaktisinh Gohil, Siddharth Patel, Tushar Chaudhary, and a few others held the meeting with Vaghela. Kamat was upset with the embarrassment caused to the party by Shaktisinh Gohil, Jagdish Thakor, and Kuvarji Bavaliya publicly coming out against Solanki within a span of three days.
He asked Gohil, Solanki, and Vaghela to explain the situation and also met Thakor and other leaders separately. "He told the party's leaders not to go to media over internal issues of the party, and to refrain from pulling legs of each other," said the source in state Congress.
