Jilted lover killed himself after shooting beloved in her room in Gohana

CHANDIGARH: In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old jilted lover shot himself after killing his beloved inside her room in in Gherjwal village of Gohana in Sonipat of Haryana NCR area.
Incident occurred during early morning hours of Monday. Victim identified as Sonia Rani (29) was married. The man identified as Narinder Singh who is her next door neighbor. According to police, Narinder allegedly shot himself after killing Sonia after the two were reportedly spotted by Sonia's husband.
With one bullet injury each on Sonia's temple and Narinder's mouth, the deadbodies were found lying on the cot in Sonia's house.Sonia's husband Rajbir was the first to notice the incident.
DSP Rajiv Deswal said that the incident occurred at around 6.30am when Rajbir had spotted Sonia in the room on the first floor of the house.
A case of murder and Arms act has been registered at Baroda police station.
It is learned that Sonia had entry wound of the bullet below temple while Narinder had exit wound of bullet in his lower head above the neck, suggesting that he shot himself in mouth after killing Sonia.
According to investigations, Rajbir, who small time worker and Sonia had married for the past 10 years. The couple has a 9 year old. Sonia was having an extramarital affair with Narinder . This has resulted into estranged relations with Rajbir and Sonia had recently returned after spending two months at matrimonial home.
To our information, the couple had slept together in their room at ground floor. In morning Rajbir did not find her in the bed and had gone to the room on first floor. The room was bolted from inside. As he suspected foul he came downstairs to call the family members and neighbours. Meanwhile they heard they heard the gun shots. The room was broke open the dead bodies were lying there,'' said DSP Rajiv Deswal who is supervising the investigations.
Soon after getting the information police parties were rushed to the spot. Forensic experts were rushed who collected the samples. Entire proceedings were video graphed and were carried out in the present of Panchayat members, he added.
