Earlier this week, Barcelona legend Xavi made his pick when it comes to Lionel Messi vs. Cristiano Ronaldo, and he went with his former club teammate, saying Messi is 'superior to everyone, unless you support Real Madrid.'

Can you guess who didn't like that? Yep, Ronaldo.

Per AS, Ronaldo responded.

"Everyone knows that if they want to get on the front page they have to speak about me. He doesn't have any Ballon d'Ors and I have three," Ronaldo said of Xavi, who twice finished in third in the Ballon d'Or voting.

"Why is Xavi relevant? He plays in Qatar. I'm the most searched-for sportsman on social media."

Isn't that the most Ronaldo, "I'm the best" response ever? Both players, Messi and Ronaldo are absolutely incredible, and it seems that Ronaldo didn't like the comments especially during arguably the best year of his career. He scored over 50 goals for Real Madrid, won the Champions League and won Euro 2016 with Portugal.

So he doesn't think Xavi has any room to talk.

What do you think? Was Xavi out of line to start or was it Ronaldo who crossed the line with is shots?
