Whoa! Akshay Kumar will play five roles in a film?

Akshay Kumar has surprised everyone with his choice of films in recent times be it Special 26, Holiday: A Soldier is never off duty, Baby, Gabbar is back, Airlift and Rustom. His next is Jolly LLB 2 followed by Robot 2.0 and Crack.

After the super successful year for Akshay Kumar with a hat trick at the box office in the form of Airlift, Housefull 3 and Rustom. It's been reported that Akshay Kumar is all set to portray not one or two but five roles in a single film. The film in question is an Omung Kumar's directorial titled Five. Akshay Kumar has surprised everyone with his choice of films in recent times be it Special 26, Holiday: A Soldier is never off duty, Baby, Gabbar is back, Airlift and Rustom. His next is Jolly LLB 2, Robot 2.0 and Crack. Now add one more to the list. This Omung Kumar helmed film will be one of its kind. And it'll be interesting to see how much variety Akshay Kumar will bring to these five distinct roles. In the past we have seen Akshay Kumar playing double roles in many movies like Jai Kishen, Khiladi 420, Aflatoon, Rowdy Rathore, Khiladi 786, 8x10 Tasveer. As far as other actors are concerned we have seen Kamal Haasan playing ten different roles for a movie, Sanjeev Kumar playing nine different roles, Govinda played six different roles in Hadh Kar Di Aapne, Priyanka Chopra playing twelve different characters in a same movie. But not once a true blue hindi film superstar has played so many different roles in a single movie. Not Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan or Ajay Devgn has ever played so many characters in a single movie. The closest we could think of is SRK's triple avatar in 1996 dud English Babu Desi Mem. But even in that movie all the three characters were not in a prominent role. Going by title of the movie, all five characters will have prominent roles in the movie.

Omung Kumar on the other hand has directed Priyanka Chopra starrer Mary Kom and Aishwarya Rai-Randeep Hooda starrer Sarbjit. Both the films were biopic and if rumors are to be believed then this film, is also based on real life.
