CALANGUTE: The owners of La Calypso hotel in Baga have been arrested by the Calangute police for allegedly damaging a shack and attempting to set it on fire.
The shack owner, Abhimanyu Rai, has lodged a complaint that Kaushal Khanna and Madanlal Khanna, owners of La Calypso hotel, allegedly trespassed into his shack armed with a hammer, hockey stick and a bottle of kerosene, and after threatening the owner and the workers, started smashing the CCTV cameras, glasses, liquor bottles and other items.
They also poured kerosene around the shack, and threatened to start a fire. The incident occurred on Thursday at around 4 pm.
On receiving information, Calangute police rushed to the spot and took the two to the police station. They were later placed under arrest after being charged under Sections 447, 427, 285 and 506 IPC.
