Mayawati biggest enemy of dalits, wants to appease Muslims: UP BJP chief

Hitting out at the CM, Maurya said, "UP is suffering from bad governance. Law and order is dysfunctional here. Police are scared of criminals. Akhillesh Yadav is an anti-development CM who doesn’t care about farmers. In fact, it would not be wrong to say that he is the worst CM in India."

MEERUT: Lashing out at BSP chief Mayawati just hours after her rally, UP BJP president Keshav Prasad Maurya said she was "the biggest enemy of the dalits". Addressing a press conference in Meerut, Maurya said Mayawati was an "opportunist" who would "stoop to any level" to appease Muslim voters. Maurya also hit out at UP CM Akhilesh Yadav, calling him the "worst CM in India".
"Mayawati is the biggest enemy of the dalits.
The corruption in her party has alienated her supporters. That is why she got out at zero in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. In 2017, too, she will lose her wicket at zero. She is an opportunist who can stoop to any level to appease Muslim voters," Maurya said.
He added, "If she really wants to protect the interests of Dalits, why did she stay silent when Azam Khan insulted Baba Saheb Ambedkar?" "Another example of her shameless appeasement came to light when all parties sent members as part of the all-party delegation to Jammu and Kashmir but BSP did not. Moreover, she did not act against Naseemuddin Siddiqui for his comments against BJP leader Dayashankar Singh’s daughter. This is the worst kind of appeasement."
Maurya also said that Mayawati’s 'Maha-Rally' on Sunday was a failure. "You can tell that people were not at all enthusiastic at her Saharanpur rally. This indicates that it was a complete failure. The BJP is going to form the government with more than 300 seats under its belt. The popularity of the BJP has made SP, BSP and Congress very nervous."
Suggesting an "understanding" between SP and BSP, the Phulpur MP said, "During her rally, she barely attacked the ruling party of the state. This shows that there is a newfound bonhomie between Bua and Bhatija (aunt and nephew). We need to understand the reason behind this. Is it because there are corruption charges against BSP leaders? Is it because she wants to protect Naseemuddin Siddiqui?"
Hitting out at the CM, Maurya said, "UP is suffering from bad governance. Law and order is dysfunctional here. Police are scared of criminals instead of it being the other way around. Akhillesh Yadav is an anti-development CM who doesn’t care about farmers. In fact, it would not be wrong to say that he is the worst CM in India."
