Chintan’s debut anthology launched

Rolpa-based poet Dr Chandra Ghartimagar has come up with his debut anthology of poetry, Kinara ko Ek Sakshi. Interestingly, the poet has also announced his nom de guerre, Dr Chandra Chintan, with the launch of his new book. The anthology was launched, by the poet’s mother Manmaya Magar, at a function held at the premises of District Development Committee in Libang, Rolpa. The event was organised by Lalit Sahitya Parishad was chaired by local social worker Naul Singh Pun Magar.
Speaking at the launch, the author’s mother said, “I gave birth to him, he gave birth to a book. I am proud.” Poet Chintan is a MBBS graduate, who studied in China, and wrote extensively while he was there.
Kinara ko ek Sakshi comprises a total of 33 poems, which revolves around themes such as patriotism, and socio-political realities of rural Nepal.
Speaking at the event Gokarna Pun Magar, of the Rapti Sahitya Parishad, presented his critique on the anthology. “These poems reflect the socio-political picture of the rural Nepal in a fluid and easy to savour.”
