CM's heartcare plan revised

INDORE: Announcing the revised 'Mukhyamantri Bal Hriday Upchar Yojana' in city, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that financial assistance will not be a problem in treatment of children with heart ailments.
"We have abolished capping of Rs2 lakh financial assistance in treatment of children with heart disorders. State government will provide all possible assistance to bear the treatment cost," Chouhan said on Saturday.
He was in city to attend a string of events.
Addressing a public gathering, he said that heart surgeries of needy patients will be done in metro cities like Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai, if required. He said that government is also preparing a scheme to provide free of cost treatment to thalassemia and diabetic children. During the event, Chouhan appreciated the work done by the city and its people on organ donation.
Eminent cardiac surgeon Dr Naresh Trehan, who was also present on the occasion, appreciated state government's efforts to address the health challenges.
