D Ashokan will be new Mullaperiyar sub-committee chairman

IDDUKI: D Ashokan will be appointed as new chairman of the Mullaperiyar sub-committee. He was the executive engineer at central water commission. The SC appointed Mullapperiyar sub-committee conducted a visit to the dam on Friday. At a meeting conducted after the visit to the dam, Tamil Nadu sub-committee members asked for the approval for repairing works of the dam. But Kerala members opposed it.tnn
