OMG! This actor regretted playing Amitabh Bachchan's son in Baghban

In the year 2003, Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini starrer Baghban was released, the film was successful at the box office. It tells the story of an elderly couple who wish their children to care of them in their old age. But their children see and treat them as a burden, how they regain their worth and dignity forms the crux of the story. The film starred Salman Khan in a special appearance as the elderly couple's foster son with Aman Verma, Samir Soni, Saahil Chadha and Nasir Kazi playing their sons. The film worked wonders at the box office and is still remembered for its hard hitting scenes and amazing performances by the lead couple of Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini. However, there is one actor who regrets doing the Amitabh Bachchan starrer. Yes, we are talking about the actor who played Amitabh Bachchan's eldest son in the film, a TV sensation then, Aman Verma. While speaking to a leading daily Aman said, "Baghban I feel was the biggest mistake that I made in my career. Initially, the role was to be played by someone else and then I came into the picture. It was a role of a man who had a grown up daughter. Baghban happened in 2003 and that time I was 31. I was playing a dad to Rimi Sen. I could not refuse it as I was very close to Ravi Chopra. I did a lot of projects with him. After being part of Baghban, people actually thought that I am a matured man and I started getting roles of only dads post that." He further added,"I would agree that back in time, I was on the heavier side hence I used to look much older. Today, at the age of 44, I look younger and people usually say that it’s a reverse cycle that is working on me. All said and done, it was a movie with Mr Bachchan and I couldn’t say no. I did ask Ravi to offer me the younger brother’s role but he knew I will do justice to the character of Ajay". There was a time when Aman Verma was one of the most sought after actors on TV but soon he was caught in a casting couch sting operation and he couldn't rise above that. Aman Verma was last seen in Bigg Boss 9.
